  According to reports, the bill is expected to be passed in an accelerated manner, as some lawmakers worry that the new parliamentary composition will take a "more skeptical stance" on aid to Ukraine after the November midterm elections.

In September, U.S. lawmakers approved an additional $12 billion for Kyiv, but sources said the new aid package "might exceed that amount."

  "That amount is enough to keep Ukraine going for a whole year," said Republican lawmakers with knowledge of the congressional plan. "The $12 billion aid package is like change by comparison," he added.

  The U.S. Congress has reportedly approved at least $65 billion in aid to Ukraine since February.
