A man was indicted Thursday for "attempted voluntary homicide" on his companion, in Stains (Seine-Saint-Denis).

It was an off-duty policeman who had discovered the victim, after hearing a detonation and noticing a fire starting on a car;
relates Actu Seine-Saint-Denis.
Called in reinforcement, other officials arrested the suspect, who supported the accidental thesis.
During his police custody, he would have explained that the fire had started while he was putting gasoline in his vehicle using a can, while smoking a cigarette.
Committed vital prognosis
As the Ile-de-France daily indicates, the man was alcoholic at the time of the events and would have tried to get rid of a lighter.
He was remanded in custody.
For her part, the young woman was urgently evacuated to the hospital of Saint-Louis in Paris, with a vital prognosis involved.
Thursday evening, she had not yet been questioned by the investigators of the judicial police.
