A year ago, an anti-harassment law came into force in South Korea to fight against this scourge of which more than 10% of South Korean women claim to be victims.

But a recent murder has just revealed the shortcomings of this legislation.

A 28-year-old woman was murdered on September 14 in a Seoul subway public toilet.

The suspect is a 31-year-old former co-worker who had been pursuing and harassing her for years.

The victim had filed two complaints against him.
