A man was arrested and taken into police custody on Monday after uttering death threats against the mayor of Castres (Tarn).

On October 13, he would have telephoned the Town Hall to discuss his plan to open a fast food restaurant;

He would then have insulted the municipal agents, unhappy not to have received the necessary authorizations for his future business.

According to our colleagues, insults and threats would have flared up.

The man would also have promised to "shoot a bullet" at the mayor of the town, Pascal Bugis (DVD).

The first city councilor filed a complaint.

Placed under judicial supervision

The suspect was identified and arrested a few days later.

He would already have a criminal record.

Pending his summons to court for "insults and death threats against a person responsible for a public service mission", the man was placed under judicial control.
