The situation in the Kherson region is under control, there are no advances of Ukrainian troops.

This was announced by the deputy head of the regional administration Kirill Stremousov.

According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to attack in small groups, but this cannot be called a counteroffensive.

“Don't listen to Ukronazi propaganda.

The Russian army confidently destroys any attempts to break through to Kherson by punishers and mercenaries.

The night passed without change.

The front lines are inviolable,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.

At the same time, in a conversation with RIA Novosti, Stremousov spoke about the fact that after the clashes with the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region, several more regions of Ukraine would be liberated: “We plan to launch a counterattack on Nikolaev, Odessa and Dnepropetrovsk after repelling the attack on Kherson.”

The day before, it was reported that the Kyiv regime had sent several tens of thousands of APU fighters and a large amount of military equipment to the Kherson region.

At the same time, Russian troops repelled all the attacks that the Ukrainian military made in the direction of Novaya Kamenka-Berislav.

On October 20, martial law came into force in the Kherson region, as well as in the DPR, LPR and Zaporozhye region.

The corresponding decree was signed by Russian leader Vladimir Putin and approved by the Federation Council.

In these four constituent entities of the Russian Federation, territorial defense is being introduced and interdepartmental coordinating bodies are being created.

“Let me remind you that martial law was in effect in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Luhansk People’s Republic, as well as in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions before they joined Russia.

And now we need to formalize this regime already within the framework of Russian legislation.

Therefore, I signed a decree on the introduction of martial law in these four regions of the Russian Federation.

On October 19, Russian servicemen destroyed a Ukrainian landing force that was trying to seize the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.

The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to more than 90 Ukrainian servicemen and 14 boats.

Flight restrictions

The Federal Air Transport Agency has once again extended restrictions on flights to 11 airports in the south and central part of Russia, the press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency reported.

“The temporary flight restriction regime at 11 Russian airports has been extended until October 28, 2022 (03:45 Moscow time).

Flights to the airports of Anapa, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol and Elista are temporarily restricted.

It is noted that the country's airports are operating normally.

Recall that the Federal Air Transport Agency imposed restrictions on flights to the south of Russia on February 24, the day the special operation began in support of the republics of Donbass.
