Vladimir Putin visited the military training ground of the Western Military District in the Ryazan Region, where he checked on the training of mobilized servicemen.

“Vladimir Putin inspected practical exercises in tactical, fire, engineering and medical training.

Demonstrated, in particular, overcoming the air assault strip as part of a platoon, working out methods of dealing with armored vehicles of a mock enemy in close combat and using heavy armored vehicles, conducting combat by a platoon in urban conditions, ”the message says.

The training course for mobilized military personnel is taking place with increased intensity, the Russian Defense Ministry added.

“During the training period, each trainee in the course of single training will use up at least 600 live rounds and five grenades,” the ministry said.

The head of state also visited a multifunctional shooting complex, where military personnel practice various types of shooting as part of units under the guidance of full-time commanders and professional instructors with combat experience.

There, Vladimir Putin tried out the Russian Dragunov sniper rifle (SVD), firing several shots at a target from a prone position.

A partial mobilization in Russia was announced on 21 September.

As indicated by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the draft will affect 300 thousand Russians in the reserve - those who served in the armed forces, have certain military specialties and relevant combat experience.

On October 4, Sergei Shoigu noted that the training of the mobilized is carried out at 80 training grounds and in six training centers, and they should be sent to combat areas after training and combat coordination.

On October 11, the head of the Russian Defense Ministry checked the course of training of citizens who arrived for service at the training grounds of the Western Military District.

As Vladimir Putin stated on October 14, all activities within the framework of partial mobilization will have to be completed within two weeks.

According to him, all issues should be resolved "at a modern and worthy level for our country."

Also, the head of state signed an instruction on strict observance of the established terms and amounts of payments: “They should be, let me remind you, at least 195 thousand rubles per calendar month, I emphasize - including the period of training and education of personnel.”

In addition, the president instructed to create a special coordinating council headed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to meet the needs of the Russian Armed Forces.

The council will include vice-premiers, representatives of law enforcement agencies, the socio-economic bloc of the government, the presidential administration, and the State Council.

The Council will deal with the needs of the Northern Military District in terms of the supply and repair of weapons, military and special equipment, materiel, medical and sanitary services, repair and restoration, construction and installation and other work, and logistics.

The first report on its activities must be submitted by the head of the Cabinet before October 25.
