China News Agency, Beijing, October 19th. Comprehensive news: On October 18th, local time, the Swedish "Express" announced for the first time an underwater video of the explosion of the "Beixi-1" pipeline.

The footage showed that some of the pipelines were severely deformed, and at least 50 meters of other pipelines broke and fell to the seabed.

It is reported that the "North Stream" gas pipeline has an outer diameter of 1.4 meters, and the concrete casing outside the steel pipe is 10 cm thick.

Thron Larsen, who shot the video, said, "Only an extremely powerful force can bend such a thick metal to form what we see."

The "Express" reported that the filming was completed by Troon Larsen, an underwater drone pilot of Norway's Blueye Robotics, and the filming location was about 80 meters below sea level in the southern Baltic Sea.

Larson also said that "the seabed around the pipeline is very affected" and long cracks can be seen.

Previously, the Swedish side suspected that the leak of the "North Stream" pipeline was caused by a man-made underwater explosion.

According to Al Jazeera’s report on October 18, the Danish police have also confirmed that the “nord stream-1” and “nord stream-2” pipelines in Denmark’s exclusive economic zone were “extensively damaged” due to a “powerful explosion”.

According to the British "Guardian", on October 18, local time, the Copenhagen police said in a statement that they would work with the Danish security services to deal with the "Nord Stream-1" and "North Stream-2" in the Danish exclusive economic zone. Further investigation into the pipeline rupture incident.

But police said it was too early to talk about what framework international cooperation with Sweden and Germany would take place, as it depended on many aspects.

A German government official also confirmed on the 17th that a joint investigation team will not be set up to be responsible for the pipeline explosion as originally envisaged, but that Danish, Swedish and German authorities will closely coordinate their respective independent investigations.

Sweden had previously rejected a joint investigation over concerns about sharing sensitive information related to national security.

The "North Stream-1" pipeline was completed in 2011, starting from Vyborg, Russia in the east, and leading to Germany via the bottom of the Baltic Sea.

The "Beixi-2" pipeline was completed last year and is basically parallel to the "Beixi-1" pipeline. It has not yet been put into use, but some natural gas is still sealed in the pipeline.
