Russia launches a free program to teach school students programming systems

 The Ministry of Digital Development of Russia has announced the launch of a free educational project for teaching school students in the country digital programming languages.

In a statement on the matter, the ministry indicated that the project called "The Symbol of the Future" aims to provide free courses to secondary school students in all Russian schools, in cooperation with the online educational platform "Uchi.ru".

According to what was published by “Russia Today”, according to the ministry, “school students in grades between 9 and 11 can register for a free two-year course to learn programming, in which they will learn the basics of the developer’s profession and important information in the field of promising technologies.”

Classes for these courses will be held twice a week in schools or online, and school students can find out where these courses are held via an interactive map that will be published by the websites of state services in Russia.

Students will be offered several training programs, a program to learn Python with two levels of difficulty, Start and Pro, and a program to learn "C ++". Each program will have to complete 144 hours of instruction, after which they will receive an official certificate.
