The Ministry of Tolerance participates in the Conference on Peace and Development in the Arab World in Cairo

The Director General of the Office of the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Afra Muhammad Al-Sabri, affirmed that the Emirates, which was founded half a century ago, by the late founding leader Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, is based on the values ​​of tolerance, coexistence and human brotherhood among all human beings. She stressed that it has been since its first day and is still an oasis that attracts everyone without exception or discrimination on the basis of religion, colour, race or culture.

This came during her participation in the work of the Conference on Tolerance, Peace and Sustainable Development in the Arab World, organized by the League of Arab States at its headquarters in Cairo, in cooperation with the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, and in the presence of the Council’s President Ahmed Al-Jarwan, the Egyptian Minister of Endowments Muhammad Mukhtar Gomaa, and the President of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments Muhammad Matar Al Kaabi, and a number of ministers of culture, endowments and religious affairs in the member states, in addition to a number of Arab personalities.

She noted the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, in this regard, which summarizes the UAE's vision towards the values ​​of tolerance and world peace, noting His Highness' saying: "The UAE, through its policies and model in the region, sends positive messages about the necessity of tolerance. coexistence and joint development work, to address the many challenges that face us collectively within the framework of the international community,” explaining that this is the vision upon which all local and international programs, activities and initiatives are based to achieve lofty goals.

On the message carried by the conference, represented in spreading the values ​​of tolerance in the Arab world, with the aim of consolidating the pillars of national, regional and international peace, to ensure the achievement of sustainable development goals, Al-Sabri expressed her pride in presenting the UAE’s experience in this regard, which has focused since its inception on the authentic values ​​that the Emirati society, explaining that these values ​​always focus on accepting everyone, respecting their culture and beliefs, and promoting the values ​​of dialogue, acquaintance, sympathy and cooperation among the various groups and cultures in the Emirati society.

She said that more than 200 different nationalities live on the land of the Emirates, coexisting together in peace, security and societal cohesion that we are proud of, and perhaps this is the secret of the UAE's renaissance, its permanent development and its prestigious global position.
