The National Police is investigating the alleged

homophobic attack

on a 30-year-old man in

Valencia

by a group of six people last Friday night.

The victim, Rafa, was returning from dinner with some friends at four in the morning when, crossing the bridge over the tracks in the Malilla neighborhood, they began to follow him and insult him.

As he himself recounted in a Twitter thread, he thought that this group "of six people or more" intended to rob him and he quickened his pace, but the homophobic insults began.

"They told me: stand up, you

shitty fagot, bujarra

, stand up. And suddenly I felt a kick in the back," Rafa said.

Already on the ground, he began to scream and ask for help and began kicking him in the head, "I guess they wanted me to lose consciousness," he told the microphones of À Punt.

The appearance of a group of neighbors alerted by the screams prevented the injuries she suffered from being greater.

With large bruises all over his body, he spent the night at the

Doctor Peset Hospital

and later filed a complaint for an alleged

hate crime

that the Information

Police Brigade

is investigating.

No arrests at the moment, the victim was able to make a description of two of the attackers: between 16 and 18 years old, dark, thin, of medium height and dressed in black and white sportswear.
