In a context made inflammable by the strike in the refineries, and a few days before departures on vacation, public and private employees are called on Tuesday to stop work and demonstrate, for a rise in wages and against the requisitions of strikers.

THE ESSENTIAL

Anxious to resolve the French fuel supply difficulties "as quickly as possible", Emmanuel Macron called a meeting at the Élysée on Monday afternoon.

But this Tuesday, the CGT is maintaining its strike movement in the refineries and depots of the TotalEnergies group.

Is there still an improvement in service stations this Tuesday morning?

Information to remember:

  • Five TotalEnergies sites are still on strike

  • 28.1% of service stations lack at least one fuel

  • The mobilization extends to other sectors this Tuesday

Two depots requisitioned

This Tuesday morning, a slight improvement should be noted: 28.1% of service stations are short of at least one fuel.

Deliveries resumed a stronger pace on Monday, something expected after the weekend.

The situation remains tense in Bourgogne Franche-Comté, in Île-de-France, in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes and in the Centre-Val de Loire.

There are more than one out of three stations in difficulty in these regions.

Five TotalEnergies sites are still on strike.

As a result, the government has launched new requisitions in two depots of the TotalEnergies group, that of Feyzin and Dunkirk, the latter already requisitioned at the end of last week.

Requisitions which should slowly help to supply Burgundy.

Transport, energy, school… What to expect for the strike on Tuesday?

Wage increase and defense of the right to strike among the demands

The mobilization extends this Tuesday to the public service, in particular to hospitals and schools.

Will this day serve as a test for the CGT?

It is quite possible.

Four unions are calling for this interprofessional strike day for wage increases and the defense of the right to strike.

It will therefore be a test for the CGT but also for FO, Solidaires and FSU.

FO Transports has called for walkouts until Friday.

At the SNCF, Sud-Rail wishes to renew the movement, but everything will depend on the extent of the mobilization on Tuesday.

Obviously impossible to predict, but two indications must be taken into account: the "march against the high cost of living" organized by the Nupes last Sunday, which brought together 30,000 participants, according to the police, 140,000 according to the organizers.

As well as the traffic forecasts for this Tuesday which do not suggest a Black Tuesday.
