Kent Ekeroth (SD), former Member of Parliament, was elected to the regional board as an opposition councillor.

He tells SVT that he can add energy, creativity and knowledge.

- And I'm a fairly good debater, he says.

The controversial politician, known for, among other things, the iron pipe scandal in 2010, was not on SD's regional list in the county before the 2022 election, and the voters could not vote for him in the regional election either.

But when he registered in Rättvik in September, it became possible for him to be elected as an opposition councilor but without a seat in the regional council.

The chairman of the regional board is Elin Norén (S), the first deputy chairman is Sofia Jarl (C).

Second vice chairman is Christer Carlsson (M).

The next meeting takes place on 14-15 November and in December the members who will sit on the respective committees are chosen.
