“Information on the total quantities of strategic offensive weapons of Russia and the United States is given on the basis of the notifications provided for by the START Treaty, which the parties exchanged in September 2022 in accordance with paragraph 2 of section II of the fourth chapter of the protocol to the treaty,” TASS cites a statement.

In particular, as of September 1, Russia has 540 deployed intercontinental ballistic missiles, while the United States has 659 such charges.

In September, it became known that the Russian and American sides were discussing holding a face-to-face meeting of an advisory commission on a treaty on the reduction and limitation of strategic offensive arms.
