For the first time, the Russian Ministry of Defense released footage documenting its use of a superpowered Lancet suicide march against Ukrainian fighters.

On Thursday, the official Russia Today website reported that the Defense Ministry presented the footage during its daily briefing of its military operations in Ukraine, which have been going on for more than 8 months.

The footage shows drones attacking a number of targets on the ground before detonating them.

Earlier, Russian media showed scenes of the use of one of the versions of the Russian "Lancet" march, developed by the Zala-Aero company, a subsidiary of the Russian "Kalashnikov" company, against opposition factions in Syria.

An official in the Ukrainian President's office said that drones bombed - yesterday, Thursday - vital infrastructure facilities in the Kyiv region, as part of the intensive bombing campaign launched by Russia on Monday in response to the bombing of the Crimean Bridge.

Kirillo Tymoshenko, Deputy Director of the Ukrainian President's Office - stated - in a post via Telegram - that these facilities were targeted by "kamikaze" drone attacks, a name given to suicide bomber aircraft, originally due to the unit of suicide pilots in the Japanese Air Force during World War II.

Also, the administration of the Kyiv province - where the capital is located - said that a site was hit by air strikes in the early hours of Thursday morning, and that rescue teams had begun work there, without giving details of the place or its distance from Kyiv.

Provincial Governor Oleksiy Koleba said on Telegram that initial information was that the strikes were carried out by Iranian-made drones.

Ukraine had reported a series of Russian attacks with Iranian-made Shahed-136 drones in recent weeks, but Iran denies supplying Russia with those planes, while the Kremlin is reluctant to comment on the matter.
