On the 12th in Pakistan, where more than 1,700 people died due to heavy rains and floods, a bus carrying victims suddenly caught fire, killing 18 people, including children.

On the night of the 12th, a bus suddenly caught fire on a road in the southern province of Sindh, Pakistan, and spread to the entire vehicle.

The fire was later extinguished, but according to local police, 18 people, including children, had died on the bus so far.

The bus was carrying people who were temporarily evacuated around the southern city of Karachi after being affected by heavy rains and floods that killed more than 1,700 people in Pakistan since June.

Many of them seemed to be relatives, and they were on their way home on this bus after hearing that the floodwaters around their home had receded on the 12th.

"On the way to his house, the bus suddenly caught fire," one of the passengers told the Associated Press.

According to the investigation so far, the fire seems to have spread from the air conditioner of the bus, and the police are investigating the detailed situation.
