The weather Thursday: rainy over a large northwest quarter, rising minimums in the north

The weather Thursday will be overcast and rainy over the northern two-thirds of the country, dry but cloudy in the south, according to Météo-France forecasts.

In the morning, apart from the presence of low clouds in places, the sun will dominate over the southern two thirds of the Alps to the Mediterranean, Languedoc-Roussillon.

The sky will gradually take over from the north with clouds becoming more and more opaque on the sidelines of the rainy weather further north.

It will rain on the regions located north of an axis going from La Rochelle to Metz;

The rains will be more sustained in Lower Normandy, the Pays de la Loire and Brittany until midday.

Between these two zones, the low level humidity will gradually be absorbed but the sky will most often remain very cloudy.

In the second part of the day, the rains will extend north of the Gironde estuary in the Massif Central to the Grand-Est, they will be more marked in Poitou-Charentes, Limousin, Center-Val de Loire and the Pays de la Loire.

On Corsica, the morning rains will fade under a sky that will remain cloudy during the day.

The south-westerly wind will be sensitive on the tip of Brittany, on the Channel coasts, it will reach 60 to 70 km/h in gusts.

At daybreak, temperatures will be between 8 and 13 degrees in the northern half of the country, between 10 and 14 further south.

The maximum will range from 15 to 16 degrees from the northeast borders to 22 to 23 towards the southeast of the country and Corsica with peaks of up to 26 over Languedoc-Roussillon.
