USA: More than 100 dead from Hurricane Ian, one of the most devastating in recent US history

There are already 107 victims, of which 102 in Florida alone, the victims of the category 4 hurricane named Ian

, one of the most devastating in recent US history.

Local authorities reported that five other people died in North Carolina.

Ian is considered to be one of the deadliest hurricanes to hit the United States since the turn of the century, even though the death toll is far less than that of Katrina, which devastated Louisiana in 2005, killing 1,800 people.
