Two men of Moroccan origin were tried Monday by the court of Rodez (Aveyron), after being arrested in possession of drugs.

On September 20, they were intercepted at the Millau viaduct toll booth with 120 kg of cannabis pollen hidden in the tank of their truck;

The duo had been remanded in custody pending trial.

The youngest clears his eldest

According to our colleagues, one of the two men admitted having agreed to transport the cannabis in exchange for money but cleared his alleged accomplice, 48 years old.

The latter assured that he was not aware of the traffic and that he was thinking of transporting fruit and vegetables to Spain.

The public prosecutor had requested four years in prison against the two defendants.

The oldest was eventually released.

The youngest was sentenced to two years in prison and imprisoned in the Druelle prison.
