Germany handed over to Ukraine the first of the four promised air defense systems IRIS-T SLM. It is reported by Spiegel, citing sources. According to the publication, the weapons were handed over near the Polish-Ukrainian border on October 11.
“Ukraine received the German air defense system,” the report says.
On October 1, it became known that German Defense Minister Christina Lambrecht arrived in Odessa on an unannounced visit and promised Kyiv an early delivery of the IRIS-T SLM air defense system.
