Saif bin Zayed attends "Man in the Middle" show..a security scenario for an external cyber attack

Lieutenant-General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, attended ISNR Abu Dhabi 2022 presentation "Man in the Middle" within the activities of the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR Abu Dhabi 2022), which is hosted by Abu Dhabi and represents a global platform for institutions and companies operating in The areas of national and cyber security, protection and community prevention.

His Highness and senior attendees toured the international exhibition, and His Highness was briefed on the technologies, projects and initiatives offered by the pavilions and platforms that provide solutions to current and future challenges based on advanced science and artificial intelligence technologies.

His Highness visited the Tawazun suites, Al Wasl Commercial Group, G42, Edge, the Interpol wing, Coboips, Sicoro for Security Systems, and the UAE K9 International Academy, where he listened to an explanation from the officials of these wings about the initiatives and projects offered by their institutions. It enhances security, protection and prevention according to new and advanced technologies and represents qualitative additions in these areas.

His Highness had started his visit to the exhibition by attending the live show "A Man in the Middle", which shows the efforts of the concerned government agencies to enhance security and protection by facing an integrated security scenario that represents a high-level cyber attack and accompanying threats, effects and challenges left by this attack and here highlights the ability of the teams to deal with all Threats, challenges and the ability to restore calm and stability, control security, traffic, ambulance, rescue, crisis management, and dealing with all emergencies. A joint music performance for international and local police teams was also presented.

The presentation includes a security scenario of a cyber attack from abroad that targets the infrastructure of vital facilities, disrupts traffic and electricity systems, causes fires and leaks chemicals, to show how the competent authorities deal with all threats accompanying the attack from the national ambulance teams, civil defense, the CBRN team and the teams. Police and traffic, as well as the advanced technical devices, vehicles and tools that are used with the concerned authorities as part of the efforts of the United Arab Emirates and its quest to be the safest place on the face of the earth.

The second day of the exhibition witnessed eight high-level workshops attended by many leaders, decision-makers and official delegations visiting the exhibition. The workshops began at the Abu Dhabi Police Innovation Lab, followed by a workshop entitled “Empowerment of Women and Youth… An Economic Power” in which Samah Al Hajri, Director of The Department of Cooperatives and Strategic Inventory at the Ministry of Economy, Khasiba Al-Amri, Vice President and Acting President of MDC Business Management Services, a Mubadala company, Hind bin Demaithan Al-Qamzi, founder and creative director of "Hamzat Wasl", and Khalifa Al-Tamimi, an aerospace engineer at Halcon, one of the "Edge" group companies. ".

The second day included a workshop on inspiring experiences presented by Sahar Rasti, founder and CEO of “SGR Group”, followed by a workshop entitled “Radiation Security: Current Scenarios, Risks and Countermeasures” presented by Professor Francesco de Erico, Emeritus Professor of Nuclear Engineering and Physics Medical, and Director of the Radiometrics Laboratory, Faculty of Engineering, University of Pisa, and then a workshop entitled “Biosecurity and Public Health Risks and Lessons Learned from the Epidemic” presented by Prof. Vasilis Vassilio, Professor of Epidemiology, Head of the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, Professor of Environment, Ophthalmology and Optical Sciences at Yale University.

This was followed by another workshop entitled “Psychological Stress on Emergency Response Team Members during Major Accidents” presented by Professor Amer Abbas Hussein, formerly Chief Adviser to Abu Dhabi Civil Defense, and the second day’s workshops concluded with a workshop entitled “Managing International Operations - Cooperation in Combating Crime” Major Hamad Yousef Khater.
