According to Ryabkov, the actions of the US and its allies are aimed at creating the perception that Russia is allegedly ready to strike with weapons of mass destruction.
“Once again, we have to explain that Russia does not threaten anyone with the use of nuclear weapons,” the diplomat stressed.
At the same time, the White House says they see no signs that Russia is preparing to use nuclear weapons.
Moscow has repeatedly reminded that the inadmissibility of nuclear war is Russia's principled position.
The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that the use of nuclear reaction forces by Moscow, according to Russian military doctrine, is possible only in response to aggression.
