It was at the end of last year that Per Bolund received death threats from two men on Twitter and Facebook respectively.

The one person stated in questioning with the Security Police that he may have written the posts, but that he does not remember.

He says he is not an aggressive person.

The man was interrogated in Blekinge, according to Ekot.

The other person admits that he wrote the posts but denies that it is a crime.

He believes that the post where he writes that Bolund should be hanged should be considered a metaphor.

- These are the kind of threats that our elected representatives unfortunately have to endure on a daily basis, so I think it is good that the judiciary takes this very seriously and brings charges, says Åsa Marnell, head of office for the Green Party's risk organization, to Ekot.

Negotiations during the autumn

District court hearings in the cases will be held in the autumn.

Both men are suspected of unlawful threats.

The representatives of the Green Party are the ones who are exposed to the most harassment, threats and violence, according to Brå's annual security survey.

Every third environmentalist who was asked stated in the survey that they had been exposed in 2020.
