The last few weeks have been upsetting for Uppsala resident Marmar Moshfeghi.

Protests for equality and freedom are going on in her homeland, and now she is doing everything in her power to support the fight from afar.

- It is about the future of the younger generation.

We in the older generation have not done our job for them to get their freedom, says Marmar.

"A dream for me"

She herself moved to Sweden as a 28-year-old and remembers how she secretly took off her veil when she was driving.

When no one was looking, she rolled down the window and let her hair flutter in the wind.

- Immediately when we saw the police, we put the veil back on.

But now young women dare to take off the veil!

For me it was a dream.

Marmar Moshfeghi is also active in the Liberals in Uppsala.
