The Emirates Fatwa Committee sets the ruling on celebrating the “birthday of the Prophet”
The head of the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwas, the scholar Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayh, confirmed that the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, is an opportunity through which we renew our connection with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, by following his approach in which he called for love, mercy and sympathy.

He added: “Celebrating and celebrating this great occasion is included in the righteous deeds that were sanctified by many scholars in the past centuries, expressing its inclusion in the generalities mentioned in the glorification of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him;
It does not contradict an explicit text or a definitive argument, rather it is recommended by the purposes of Sharia, the complexes of belief, and good manners, for he, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, is a symbol of love and attachment. Bin Bayyah emphasized that celebrating the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday is an act in which there is no violation of the Sunnah or the revival of an innovation, other than that which the Sharia has witnessed as being, as Omar, may God be pleased with him, said: “This is an innovation.”
He mentioned that the Noble Prophet’s birthday is an opportunity to perfume the councils with his memory, to imitate his fragrant life, and to benefit from his glorious life, following his footsteps, imitating his effects, imitating his morals in obedience to the truth and mercy in creation.
And his approach to mercy, love and sympathy, which are principles pursued by our state and our leadership, based on an ancient heritage and an ancient approach.
