The court seized the building of the public organization "Memorial" in Moscow in favor of the state

This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the court.

It is specified that the Prosecutor General's Office insisted on the withdrawal of the building.

Earlier, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office asked the Supreme Court to liquidate Memorial.

The press service of the department explained why it appealed to the Supreme Court.

In particular, it is noted that Memorial carries out its activities in violation of the Constitution of Russia.

The Tverskoy Court of Moscow also found the human rights center Memorial guilty of violating the law on foreign agents and ordered it to pay a fine of 300,000 rubles.
