Now the women's basketball league starts with the 2022/23 season.
But three teams, which would have played there, are not there when the series starts.
These are Helsingborg, A3 Umeå and Wetterbygden.
Borås Basket also dropped out, but through a reorganization, Sjuhärad basketball was started, which takes its place in the league instead.
This means that this year's women's basketball league consists of eleven teams.
Wetterbygden withdrew
Wetterbygden had both a men's and women's team in the highest league a few years ago, but in 2020 the men's team withdrew due to the economy and earlier this year the club decided that the women's team would go the same way.
The women's team Wetterbygden stars now plays in Basketettan south.
In the first game Malbas was defeated 62-60 and on Saturday the team plays away to Eskilstuna.
