The crimes have been committed over several years against 15 students who have had regular contact with the teacher at a primary school in Borås municipality.
Elementary and middle school students go to primary school.
The indictment covers around 30 charges.
- It is a very extensive case where the investigative work has been going on for more than a year and has grown as new information has come in, says chamber prosecutor Andreas Lennartsson, who is the head of the preliminary investigation, in a press release.
The suspected teacher has so far made several admissions.
The man has been in custody since the summer of 2022 and has been suspended from school since the summer of 2021.
Confiscated phones
In addition to oral accounts, the evidence also consists of a number of seized telephones.
The police have secured certain image material from mobile phones, certain excerpts from SMS conversations and notes from journals.
