For the past four years, the Social Democrats have governed Boden together with the Center Party, the Environmental Party and the Health Care Party.

After the autumn elections, the Green Party was left without a mandate in the council and municipal councilor Claes Nordmark (S) says he did not reach an agreement in the negotiations with the Center Party.

With its 48.17 percent, S has chosen to join a coalition with only the Health Care Party.

- We need to get a majority, and the cooperation has worked well with them, says municipal councilor Claes Nordmark (S).

"In Boden, it's more pragmatic"

The Healthcare Party's group leader in Boden, Kenneth Backgård, will fill the party's only mandate in the council, but will at the same time continue in his role as opposition councilor in the region - with S as the main opponent.

- In the region, we stand for decentralization of healthcare and S for centralization.

In Boden, it is not that kind of discussion, but more pragmatic.

We have had a very good collaboration these four years, says Kenneth Backgård.
