As the agency clarified, mortality from COVID-19 declined rapidly throughout the summer.

According to Rosstat, the number of deaths in people with coronavirus is lower than in people with diseases of the circulatory system, neoplasms, diseases of the digestive system, endocrine and nervous systems, and eating disorders.

“The apparent decrease in the number of deaths of those who were diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus allowed Rosstat to decide to stop the prompt publication of deaths from coronavirus infection,” they said.

Earlier, an immunologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences Vladislav Zhemchugov, in an interview with NSN, commented on the situation with the pandemic.
