The Paris job fair continues until Friday evening.

Among the exhibitors: personal services companies.

And to cope with the labor shortage, these companies are less and less careful about profiles.

Europe 1 was able to attend an interview between a candidate and a recruiter.

At the Paris job fair, place de la Concorde: 400 exhibitors, 10,000 job and training offers, nearly 8,000 entries this Thursday, October 7.

Among the exhibitors: the personal service sector, a sector that is struggling to attract candidates.

So companies are less and less careful about profiles.

Evidenced by this interview between a young candidate and a company in the sector.

A good CV

Sitting at a table between two booths, Maria, 20, waits her turn.

On his CV, we can read a CAP in local services and local life, and an internship in a retirement home.

Assets that could appeal to Anne-Sophie, in charge of human relations in a home service company.

The interview begins.

Anne-Sophie asks him: "What type of tasks have you already been able to carry out with support for the elderly?".

“I changed them, I helped them eat, we talked together…”, replies the candidate.

These tasks are the bare minimum in this sector.

So the recruiter continues the interview to find out more.

"You already know our group?"

she asks him.

"No, it's the first time," replies Maria.

long silences

Sometimes silences settle in the conversation.

“What did you like most about these missions?”, for example, addresses Anne-Sophie to Maria, before continuing, faced with the lack of response: “What do you most enjoy doing? in the morning when you arrived?

But these long silences are compensated by a quality: "What sector are you mobile in? Paris intramuros?"

asks the recruiter.

“I am everywhere,” Maria replies.

182,000 vacancies

Thanks to this answer, Maria has a good chance of being selected.

In this company, 7,000 positions are to be filled.

So Anne-Sophie clings to the slightest argument to recruit.

"This candidate already had a first experience, in addition she is a graduate. So yes, we will obviously contact her again".
