The Hollywood producer who made the hit American medical drama 'Scrubs' has been charged with raping women.

Los Angeles County Prosecutors' Office announced on the 6th local time that the famous producer Eric Weinberg, 62, has charged five women with 18 felony charges.



According to prosecutors, Weinberg committed various sexual offenses, including sexual assault, sexual abuse, confinement, and personal injury, after approaching young women under the guise of taking photos from 2014 to 2019.



He was found to have lured victimized women into his home, mainly in coffee shops and supermarkets.



Victims said Weinberg began having sex without consent during the photo shoot, some claiming to have filmed sexual assault scenes.



"Weinberg used his glamorous Hollywood career to seduce young women," the prosecution said.



He said that since news of Weinberg's arrest first became known, dozens of women have come forward to complain.



Weinberg, who was previously arrested by local police in July, was released on bail of $5 million (about 7 billion won), and his criminal trial will begin on the 25th.



Meanwhile, Weinberg is a famous producer who co-produced 100 episodes of the popular American medical drama 'Scrubs' from 2000 to 2006. Besides, he worked with producers in dramas such as 'California', 'Killing Nature', and 'Man at Work'. I worked as a writer.
