The relative who was detained on Monday was detained on Friday morning.

- He was detained on probable cause on suspicion of attempted murder and serious weapons offences, says prosecutor Thomas Bälter, who leads the preliminary investigation.

As during the police interrogation, the suspect did not want to answer questions during the detention hearing.

How did he react to the criminal charges?

- He does not want to give any position at all, says Thomas Bälter.

The victims have left the hospital

The prosecutor will request that a minor mental examination be carried out, a so-called Paragraph 7 examination.

The woman in her 20s and the man in her 45s who were injured in the crime have been released from hospital.

- That is the only thing I know about their condition, says Thomas Bälter.

What do you know about the subject?

- The subject image is something we are looking at of course, I don't want to comment on it more than that.

There is one more suspect

In addition to the arrested man, there is another suspect.

- There is another person who is interesting and appears in the investigation, who is not a criminal.

What role should that person have had?

- I cannot comment on that for investigative reasons.

SVT Nyheter Uppsala has sought the minor's lawyer.

The detained man's defender says that the detention was contested.

- My client denies all criminal suspicions leveled against him, says lawyer Carl-Albin Rudolfsson.

The suspect and plaintiffs are related, comment on that?

- Relationship or possible kinship is not something I want to comment on at the moment, he says.

Charges should be brought in a month, but the investigation will probably take longer than that, both the prosecutor and the lawyer believe.
