On October 6, French Ambassador Pierre Levy was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry for clarification regarding the supply of French weapons to Ukraine.

He was told that such actions contradicted the statements of Paris about the focus on the settlement.

Macron at the same time stated that France does not want a new world war and seeks to stop the conflict in Ukraine.
