A 22-year-old young man was sentenced on Thursday to a suspended six-month prison sentence for violence by the Albi Criminal Court (Tarn).

The charges against him date back to October 16, 2018;

That day, the defendant, then 18 years old at the time of the events, and another young man attacked the caretaker of a building in Saint-Juéry managed by Tarn Habitat.

The attacker accused the man of having damaged his scooter.

After having locked him up and assaulted him in the cellar, the young man dragged him to the agency of the social landlord.

Appeals for four years

On the spot, he pressed his head against the glass, insulting him copiously and spitting on him.

The guard, rescued by agents present on the premises, lodged a complaint the next day at the police station, but the young man only received a legal warning.

After several appeals, the victim finally obtained a trial for violence, four years after the attack.

On sick leave for six months, the goalkeeper is now unfit to work with the public.

The defendant will have to pay him 1,000 euros for the damage suffered.
