A stretch of 40 meters will be exposed to the northern climate and snow removal for a year and a half.

The Swedish Transport Administration is the principal in the tests, which are part of ongoing electric road projects that are underway in Lund and on Gotland.

- You must be able to charge the vehicle while driving.

There is a switch under the car and in the road the segments are switched on while driving, says William Persson, fitter at the company Elonroad, which performs the assembly.

SEK 96 million

The Swedish Transport Administration invests a total of SEK 83 million in the project, which costs a total of SEK 96 million over four years.

The winter tests in Nyland cost approximately one million kroner.
