The chicken was in the middle of the field of maneuvers near the military base of Sant Climent Sescebes (Gerona) and carried sensors.

She was standing tied up in front of a camera that recorded her movements.

This is how it was discovered by military personnel from the base who alerted the Mossos d'Esquadra, since it is an exclusion zone for civilian personnel when carrying out military training.

Upon approaching, a Mossos patrol discovered that the technological material near the animal bore the label of the University of Girona, as reported by TV3 and confirmed by police sources, and shortly after a biologist arrived who explained that he was carrying out a study on the hawk eagle, which is predatory.

In addition, he indicated that he did not know that it was a military zone and that he had authorization.

The agents seized the hen and the technological material and took the biologist to the La Junquera police station to take a statement and check the documentation of his study.

They later released him and returned the animal, the sensors and the camera, although the police sent the report to the Figueres Court to report this incident.

The hen, for the time being, is still safe from being used as an instrument for studying birds of prey.
