The 25-year-old driver of the vehicle was unconscious when paramedics arrived.
He was airlifted by the Smur to the Angers hospital center.
His vital prognosis was then engaged, indicates the regional daily.
The bus, which ended up in a ditch, was not carrying any children at the time of the impact.
The 57-year-old driver was unharmed.
Traffic was cut in both directions for nearly 3 hours to allow rescuers to intervene.
