In late September, the picking of Damascus roses in Xiaojin County came to an end. In the factory where roses were "deeply processed", workers were busy everywhere.

In 2011, I found out that the wild boars here often overwhelmed (destroyed) the leaves of the people's potatoes and beans.
At that time, I found that there was a rose next to it, and the wild boar did not arch (destroy it), so I was thinking, can roses become money and replace traditional crops.
[Explanation] Visited 7 provinces to study rose varieties and planting benefits. In 2012, Chen Wanghui introduced 8 rose varieties and returned to his hometown for trial planting.
The success of the trial planting made Chen Wanghui firm in her idea of developing the rose industry.
In the same year, Chen Wanghui established a professional rose planting cooperative in the village.

Roses are grown on the plateau, which are divided into "Yin Mountain" and "Yang Mountain".
To suit them (roses), some are suitable for growing in "Yangshan", (in) "Yinshan" will not survive the winter, so in the end we chose the varieties that are very suitable for this (geography) and planted in our on this plateau.
[Explanation] The next step in the successful trial planting is to promote rose planting, but in the face of the concerns of the villagers, Chen Wanghui decided to let the villagers eat the "bonus" of rose planting first, so that the villagers can change from "unwilling to plant" to "voluntary planting" .

At that time, I raised (up) the price of roses by 50% (40%) of the market and bought roses from the common people.

[Explanation] In the process of vigorously promoting the rose planting industry, Chen Wanghui gradually explored a new model of green industry development and operation of "branch + cooperative + company + party member + farmer + base", and built a rose processing factory in the village and introduced production lines for Processing and production of rose essential oil, hydrosol, flower tea and other derivatives, and exported to Bulgaria, New Zealand, South Korea and other countries.
Today, 15,000 mu of roses are planted in Xiaojin County, covering 13 towns and 46 villages, and the radiation has increased the income of more than 20,000 people in more than 3,200 households.

This year, 4 mu of land (harvest) is 8,000 catties (about 5,000 yuan).

In 2020, Chen Wanghui began to gradually explore the domestic market, develop daily necessities, skin care products and other related products, and establish new sales channels.
At the same time, Chen Wanghui also built a study and research building in the village to attract foreign talents and continue to develop rose planting and rose product transformation.
In the future, Chen Wanghui also hopes to effectively connect the rose industry with rural revitalization, and develop a cultural tourism industry that integrates plateau roses and Xiaojin on the basis of primary and secondary industries.
