In January 2018, internal data stating that the company paid illegal rebates was received by the Fair Trade Commission.



In the documents obtained by SBS, it is written that about 32.6 billion won was given to entertainment establishments in one year alone.



There is an internal document that the CEO in a foreign country has approved that about 2.5 billion won will be used as the wholesaler's budget, and there is a document that money will be paid to a business in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul as an incentive.



Illegal rebates are 'unreasonable acts of attracting customers' as stipulated by the law.



The Fair Trade Commission twice requested on-site investigations and data from companies, but the agenda was only made in December last year, three years and 11 months after the case was received, and ten months later, no meeting was held to deal with the matter.



According to the Fair Trade Act, if more than five years have passed since the start of the investigation, a correction order or penalty cannot be imposed.

Last year, the number of contact with the Fair Trade Commission was three times higher than that of the second-ranked law firm, and over the past 10 years, more than 10 so-called 'Jeonggwans' from the Fair Trade Commission were recruited.
