“His Holiness the Patriarch again appeals to all the faithful children of the Church of Christ with an appeal to show mercy and take part in raising funds for the affected civilians and refugees from the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, Ukraine, as well as for people in difficult life situations,” — stated in the message on the website of the Russian Orthodox Church.

It is noted that the collected funds will be transferred to a special charitable account of the Moscow Patriarchate, and subsequently transferred to those in need.

Earlier it became known that, according to preliminary data, about 30 people were killed during the shelling of a column of refugees near Kharkov by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to Rodion Miroshnik, head of the Luhansk People's Republic representative office in Russia, a convoy of refugees from the Kharkiv region was tracked down using drones.
