The People's Power Central Ethics Committee, which started yesterday (6th) at 7 pm, after a marathon meeting for more than 5 hours, decided to impose additional disciplinary action against former Chairman Lee Jun-seok, 'one-year suspension of party membership'.

This is the reason why former President Lee "aggravated confusion within the party and promoted the departure of the public" with derogatory expressions such as 'both goosebumps' and 'new military'.

The reason for disciplinary action was that he acted harmful to the party, such as applying for an injunction to the court in protest against the formation of the emergency response committee.

[Lee Yang-hee/Chairman of People's Power Central Ethics Committee: I judged it to be a very inappropriate act as a party member as it rejected the democratic decision-making act within the party.]

Former CEO Lee was notified to appear at the Ethics Committee meeting last night to explain, but did not attend.

With this additional disciplinary action, former president Lee will be suspended from party membership until January of the following year, with one year added to the existing six months.

Until his term ends in June next year, as former leader In Yi, he will not be able to return to the party's leadership position, nor will he be able to run for the next national convention, which is expected early next year.

This time, the ethics committee made a decision with extreme caution regarding former floor leader Kwon Seong-dong, who was controversial for drinking at a dinner party last month.

The 'ban on bringing alcohol to official events' is not a violation of the prohibition order, but it is an explanation that it was an inappropriate action considering the serious situation inside and outside the party at the time.
