Driving in Luxembourg in the coming weeks could cost you dearly.
A fine of 74 euros and immobilization of the vehicle are foreseen if you have not mounted winter tires on your car.
The authorities will carry out checks in the event of bad weather.

Installing two winter tires and two summer tires is also prohibited.
"It is compulsory to fit four tires of the same type on your car", explain the authorities.
The obligation concerns locals, but also cross-border commuters and travelers in transit.
The police specify that a regulation winter tire must be marked "MS", "M+S", "M&S" or an alpine symbol.
