The dress - which British Prime Minister Liz Terrace wore during her participation in the Conservative Party conference recently - sparked great controversy in the country, and the subject received great coverage in the media and on social media platforms.

What caught the attention of the British was that Terrace came to the party conference wearing a red dress, identical to the dress worn by actress Emma Thompson in the famous British series “Years and Years” produced by BBC and HB. Or" (HBO), which premiered in 2019.

According to The Independent, Thompson played in the series the role of a populist British politician who leads an extreme right-wing party, and in one scene she wore a red dress with the same details as the dress that Terrace wore during the Conservative Party conference.

The newspaper said that what makes the topic more exciting is that the character of the series, "Vivien Rook", played by Thompson, was wearing the same red dress characteristic of the scene in which she proposed adopting the establishment of "concentration camps" to reduce population growth in Britain.

The Guardian also talked about the same topic, and asked: Why did Teras Nafs wear the dress of a fictional fascist character?

The newspaper said that Terrace was seen wearing the same dress in 2019, prior to the release of the "Years and Years" series, which made commentators wonder: Who influences whom?

weird

And the author of "Years and Years" Russell Davis posted on his Instagram account a picture of Terrace and the character of the series, Rook, and commented on the picture by saying, "This is strange."

Singer David Anders commented on Terrace's photo and actress Thompson by confirming that the two pictures were not fabricated, and asked about the significance of the two outfits matching the two pictures together.

This is actually mind-boggling.

Neither of these images is fake.

Liz Truss was literally wearing today what the tyrannical populist leader played by Emma Thompson in *Years and Years* wore, right down to the shoulder-detail, belt and collar.

Just a different shade.

How?

Why?

And the tweeter James Ball admitted that some things happen by chance sometimes, but that the prime minister happens to wear the same populist political dress, in a scene in which the actress was talking about concentration camps, this is strange.

Coincidences happen but this is a striking one: this isn't just an outfit worn by Emma Thompson's populist PM.

It's the outfit she's wearing in the scene where she introduces concentration camps to Britain.

As styling goes: *yikes*.

For his part, the tweeter David Schalen was surprised by the focus on the comparison between the Thompson and Terrace dresses, and called for focusing on the policies of the Prime Minister and not on her dress.

Do we really need to over analyse the comparison between the red dress Liz Truss is wearing to Emma Thompson's demonic character in the BBC series Years and Years to realise we are living in twisted times?

Can we slate Truss for her policies and not what she's wearing please?
