Due to the fact that electricity prices are expected to be higher, the Ronneby rectory now announces in a press release that it has reviewed its electricity consumption for the winter.

It can then be concluded that it is undoubtedly the heating of the churches and other buildings that account for the pastorate's biggest costs.

Therefore, the Ronneby pastorate has now decided to close five out of 13 churches this winter during the period 7 November until April next year.

Baptisms, weddings, church services and cremation funerals will therefore not be held in the closed churches during this period.

Exceptions are made for coffin burials.

The churches affected are Hjortsberga, Öljehult, Förkärla, Edestad and Möljeryd.

The Trinity Church in Karlskrona is usually closed during the winter, and so this year as well.
