As the war in Ukraine continues, member states of the European Union agreed on Wednesday on a new round of sanctions against Russia.

A symbolic decision, as Vladimir Putin endorsed the annexation of four Ukrainian regions last week. 

European Union member states agreed Wednesday on a new round of sanctions against Russia after the annexation of four Ukrainian regions, the Czech EU Presidency announced.

The agreement was concluded at the level of the ambassadors of the Twenty-Seven.

The names and entities targeted by these new sanctions are to be published in the EU's Official Journal on Thursday, diplomats said.
