The starting signal was given this morning for train reservations for the Christmas holidays.

The SNCF opens its reservations for trips from December 9 to January 2, 2023. A race against time for users to obtain a ticket among the nine million on sale for the end of the year celebrations.

Top start to already organize its end of year celebrations.

SNCF has sold nearly nine million tickets on its website.

Reservations are open for TGV, Ouigo and Intercités journeys.

Like every year, the starting signal caused a considerable rush on the SNCF Connect site.

30 tickets per second were booked between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m., according to the SNCF.

With this rush, bugs have been observed on the SNCF Connect site.

New offers offered

Among the novelties at the end of the year, the SNCF is enriching the TGV Paris-Fribourg and Bordeaux-Fribourg lines with additional round trips from 11 December.

They will serve the famous German amusement park Europa-Park.

As of today, the SNCF is also beefing up its low-cost Ouigo offer, with three new services.

This is a round trip Paris-La Rochelle, a round trip Paris-Brest and a third between the capital and Perpignan.

The SNCF also confirms that the surge in energy prices will not be passed on to the prices of the 9 million tickets on sale for the Christmas holidays.

On the other hand, for the main lines, the price list is likely to be revised upwards in 2023. A decision must be taken this fall.
