He noted that a special page in the annals of the Fatherland is "the fight against neo-Nazism, the protection of the inhabitants of Eastern Ukraine, who were sentenced to destruction only because they want to speak their native language, develop their culture and traditions, and protect spiritual values."
Putin added that the volunteers and servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces are the real heroes of our time.
“We honor their resilience and courage.
We defend the truth about the liberation of Zaporozhye and Kherson, about the eight-year war in the Donbass people's republics, about the coup d'état in Ukraine in 2014 and the tragic events in Kyiv and Odessa,” the head of state said, adding that this “lofty goal” is also served by a poetic evening ZOV.
Poetry evening ZOV, dedicated to the special operation in Ukraine, takes place on October 5 in Moscow.
At the event, for the first time, a collection of poems "Poetry of the Russian Summer", published by the staff of the RT channel, was presented.
