After four days of trial, the fifties escaped life imprisonment for this murder.

This homeless, already convicted, had spent the day of the crime consuming alcohol at the victim's home, with two other men.

Two other men sentenced to prison terms

The other two marginals prosecuted for failure to assist a person in danger were sentenced to three and four years in prison.

They had not warned the emergency services the day of the tragedy.

The first was imprisoned at the end of the trial and the second returned to detention, as he is already serving another sentence.
