A 31-year-old man appeared on Tuesday before the Albi Criminal Court.

He was tried for traffic offenses and drug trafficking;

He was arrested at the end of August in the capital of Tarn after hitting a car with his scooter and fleeing.

During his arrest, the municipal police had found a knife on him.

Placed in police custody, he had given a false name.

Three years in prison

During the search of his companion's home, investigators discovered cocaine capsules, two handguns, ammunition and a total of more than 40,000 euros in cash.

Some of the money was hidden in the kitchen hood.

During the hearing, the man, who has 17 entries on his criminal record, said he had stored the money, drugs and weapons on behalf of dealers.

Finally, the court sentenced him to 3 years in prison.

His campaign, prosecuted for complicity, received an 8-month suspended sentence.
