Deputy Foreign Minister called Zelensky's refusal to negotiate with Russia the wrong position

“I think it’s a completely wrong position to be condemned, because we talked about the readiness to speak,” RIA Novosti reports his words.

The Deputy Minister specified that the last round of negotiations took place in Istanbul, which were interrupted due to the fault of Kyiv.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky approved the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine on the impossibility of negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev said that attempts at negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv were thwarted by order of the United States.
